Patron Saints
Our Lady Mary and Holy Child The patron saints of the
Knights of the Holy Grail are, first and foremost, Our Lady Saint Mary the
Virgin, followed by St. Michael the Archangel and St. George, St. Benedict, and
Saints Cyprian and Justina, examples of faith and piety, and because of their powerful intercession in
spiritual warfare against the Devil and his fallen angels. Because
tradition assigns him a special place as the Guardian of the Holy Grail, we also
venerate Saint Joseph of Arimathea. As spiritual travelers, we frequently
invoke the prayers and protection of St. Christopher, St. Nicholas, and St.
Raphael the Archangel. The Knights of the Holy Grail also venerate greatly St. John the Beloved, St. John the Baptist, and St. Mary Magdalene. Our special patron is Saint Agnes, chosen because
of her purity and her martyrdom for the sake of Christ. For her purity, because
nothing impure shall enter the kingdom of heaven (Revelation 21:27). For her
martyrdom, because God’s justice demands sacrifice and
penance. Saint Agnes reminds us of the
need for gentle and innocent souls in these troubled times. We count this world
as nothing. Only the kingdom of heaven is of any real
value. “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God”
